NJ Attorneys Helping You Navigate DCPP

The Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) is an agency of the State of New Jersey responsible for protecting and promoting the welfare of children. When allegations of child abuse or neglect arise, DCPP has the authority to investigate those claims.

If sufficient evidence of abuse or neglect is found, DCPP may seek a court order from a Superior Court Judge to implement various forms of intervention aimed at protecting the child. Less severe interventions may involve requiring one or both parents to undergo psychological evaluations or substance abuse treatment. In more serious cases, the child may be removed from the home and placed in foster care.

Navigating a DCPP investigation or intervention can be complex and emotionally challenging. We strongly recommend contacting one of our experienced family law attorneys at Einhorn Barbarito by calling 973-627-7300. We proudly serve families throughout New Jersey.
