Jessica Sciara is an Associate with Einhorn Barbarito and a member of the firm’s Family/Matrimonial Law practice focusing on various family law matters as well as matters involving Children in Court and the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP).
Jessica works with matrimonial clients seeking resolution of issues in the areas of child custody, child support, pendente lite support, QDRO completion, and college expense, and is skilled at tailoring discovery requests to suit each individual case. She helps clients address the issues toward finalizing marital settlement agreements and regularly appears on behalf of clients in various family law court proceedings including the divorce and non-dissolution dockets.
In addition, Jessica represents clients in matters involving the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP), the state’s child protection and child welfare agency. These matters often involve allegations of child abuse and/or neglect, and Jessica represents those accused of such conduct. Jessica represents clients during the course of DCPP investigations, as well as when formal litigation is instituted in the Children in Court calendar.
Prior to joining Einhorn Barbarito, Jessica worked as an associate at a Sussex County firm. After graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Haekyoung Suh, P.J.F.P. in the Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Vicinage in the New Jersey Superior Court.
