Experienced New Jersey Criminal Lawyers
Our New Jersey Criminal Practice Group, chaired by former Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor and Einhorn Barbarito Partner Matthew James Troiano, includes a roster of experienced attorneys dedicated to protecting the rights of the accused, and those immersed in complex investigations or crisis situations who are in need of legal representation.
Our Criminal Practice Group is led by Chair and Partner Matthew James Troiano, a former Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor and seasoned trial attorney, who has handled a number of high-profile criminal matters including multiple homicide trials. He is joined by Counsel Alissa D. Hascup, a former Morris County Assistant Prosecutor and Municipal Prosecutor. Together, they offer more than 15 years of experience defending clients in private practice and are dedicated to protecting the rights of the accused and those immersed in complex investigations or crisis situations who are in need of legal representation.
Our Criminal Law Attorneys Focus on Providing Superior Criminal Defense Strategies and Counsel for Complex Investigations
As criminal defense attorneys with behind-the-scenes insight gained through years of being successful prosecutors, our Criminal Practice Group members can quickly and easily navigate the complex criminal justice system. They can identify weaknesses in the prosecution’s case, from the initial investigation through the grand jury process, and, ultimately, in their presentation at trial. By leveraging the benefit of this insider insight, the Einhorn Barbarito Criminal Practice Group has been able to resolve serious criminal charges for many clients without the need for trial, while also reducing their criminal exposure to jail time or prison. If, however, a case cannot be resolved, our criminal defense attorneys are prepared to present a rigorous trial defense, including an independent investigation, any and all applicable motions, and the use of expert witnesses.
Our Years of Experience in Municipal Courts Can Help Us Resolve Local Court Matters for Our Clients
In addition to representing clients charged with serious criminal violations, the Criminal Practice Group also has extensive experience with municipal court matters throughout the state. Our criminal defense attorneys have spent years working within the municipal court system and have gained insights that can often lead to a quick resolution for the benefit of our client.
