Einhorn Barbarito is pleased to announce that our Partner, Bonnie C. Frost, has earned the prestigious 2016 Alfred C. Clapp Award for Excellence in Legal Education by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) in association with the New Jersey State Bar Association. This award is the Institute’s highest honor and recognizes those who have a long history of significant services to the field of continuing legal education.

Frost was recognized at a reception on Monday December 12th at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.

“I am honored to receive this award, which recognizes the volunteer efforts of many lawyers to the commitment of being involved in Continuing Legal Education,” says Frost.  “Before I became a lawyer, I was an adult educator.  Moderating and speaking at legal seminars over the years has been an extension of my commitment to lifelong learning. Both allow me to learn new things in order to share information and knowledge with others, which, in turn, makes me a better lawyer.  Every seminar I participate in is fun and satisfying on a very personal level,” she says.

Frost has organized and presented seminars on family law, appellate practice and ethics for the NJICLE for more than 20 years. Since joining Einhorn Barbarito in 1985, she has practiced in the matrimonial area, handling divorce, custody, domestic violence, and paternity issues. She is approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to mediate family law matters and handles both court appointed and private mediation. She is also certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers to arbitrate family law matters. She invites family law arbitrations, including appellate arbitrations.

Frost has authored numerous works in the area, including the Women’s Legal Rights Booklet. She co-authored the State Bar, Family Law Section’s Position Paper on Matrimonial Law 1997. In addition to being a member of the State Bar Family Law Executive Committee since 1994, she is also a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney, Fellow of The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and Chair of the Disciplinary Review Board, intermediate Appellate body for the attorney disciplinary system. She has also participated in 32 published opinions on family law.

Every year since its inception in 2005, Frost has been selected to the New Jersey Super Lawyers list. She is also the 2012 Recipient of the Saul Tischler Award as bestowed upon her by the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Section.  The award recognizes the significant and substantial lifetime achievements and contributions to family law.  Most recently, Frost was a finalist for the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2016 Attorney of the Year award.
