New Jersey Law Journal Interviews Hon. David H. Ironson, J.S.C. (Ret.) on Return to Einhorn Barbarito
October 27, 2025
Following his retirement from the bench in 2025, former New Jersey Superior Court Judge David H. Ironson rejoined the firm – returning to where he built the foundation of his legal career. The New Jersey Law Journal reported on his return as Of Counsel and chair of the firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice. “This is a homecoming,” Judge Ironson told the Law Journal. “I am returning to my roots, and I get to rekindle and reconnect with a group of talented and skilled attorneys.”
The Law Journal stated that during his time on the bench, Judge Ironson chaired the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Jury Selection and co-chaired the Working Group on Juror Impartiality. Before his judicial appointment, he spent over two decades as a civil litigator, earning certification as a civil trial attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court. Judge Ironson added, “To me, the best case is a settled case where you have controlled your own fate and you understand exactly what you are getting.”
Judge Ironson serves as a mediator in all types of civil matters, including automobile, slip and fall, medical malpractice, wrongful death, products liability, employment and construction cases.
Co-Managing Partner Matheu D. Nunn mentioned that before he joined Einhorn Barbarito he appeared before Judge Ironson as a prosecutor. “He has solidly earned a reputation for his integrity, fairness and knowledge of the law,” Nunn told the Law Journal.
