Jessica Sciara Co-Authors “The Impact on Family Court Matters of Convicted Sex Offenders and Custody and Parenting Time” In The New Jersey State Bar Association Publication New Jersey Family Lawyer
November 16, 2022Jessica Sciara, an associate in the firm’s Family/Matrimonial Practice co-authored the New Jersey Family Lawyer article “The Impact on Family Court Matters of Convicted Sex Offenders and Custody and Parenting Time” with Michael J. Hanifan Sr. a partner at Hanifan Law. The authors analyze and compare New Jersey law to laws in other states pertaining to parents who are convicted sex offenders and the impact their convictions have on custody and parenting time disputes in family court. Further, the authors review whether New Jersey law provides sufficient protection for victim parents and the children born from sexual abuse.
