Christopher L. Musmanno Obtains $290,000 Settlement for Driver Injured by Delivery Truck Making Illegal U-Turn

Musmanno, Chair of the Accidents/Personal Injury practice and a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, obtained a $290,000 settlement on behalf of a 41-year-old man who sustained injuries in a collision with a delivery truck.
According to the claims in the case, the delivery truck made an illegal U-turn across double yellow lines and struck the front driver’s side of the plaintiff’s vehicle. The plaintiff sustained injuries to his neck, shoulder and back.
“Our client’s shoulder injuries required extensive surgical repair after physical therapy failed to resolve his pain,” said Musmanno. “The treatment he underwent was a significant part of presenting the consequences of this collision.”
The plaintiff participated in physical therapy and other conservative treatment, but his pain persisted. He ultimately underwent left shoulder arthroscopic surgery, including rotator cuff repair, repairs to the shoulder’s labrum, and additional procedures addressing damage within the shoulder.
The matter settled for a total of $290,000.
