“In this new role, I’m just going to continue to do my best to ensure that everyone at Einhorn feels supported,” Lys told Law360 Pulse. “I think we have a great group of administrative staff who understands that the day-to-day operational aspects of the firm is the key to success of Einhorn.”
Lys joined Einhorn Barbarito as director of accounting in 2020 and set about streamlining various firm procedures for handling accounts payable and accounts receivable, cash deposits, commissions—“everything under the sun,” Lys said.
For the past two years, he’s been working outside the accounting director role to streamline operations in other departments of the firm, including human resources, IT and facilities, Lys said, and he’ll continue that work as executive director.
Einhorn Barbarito’s recent run of growth adds to the role’s responsibilities. So far in 2026, the firm added a team of six attorneys from the firm formerly known as Donnelly Minter & Kelly LLC and combined with Hackensack, New Jersey-based Aronsohn Weiner Salerno & Kaufman PC, bringing on seven attorneys.
“As we change, we have to adapt to that change, and know that we have a lot more people that we need to take care of,” Lys said.
Lys has “demonstrated exceptional dedication and consistently stepped forward to take on complex operational challenges,” firm Managing Partner Matheu D. Nunn said in a statement on Lys’ promotion.

Lys joined Einhorn Barbarito in November 2020 as director of accounting. Since then, the firm said he has “taken on responsibilities well beyond the traditional scope of that role and become an integral part of … operations.”
As executive director, Lys will oversee the firm’s daily administrative operations and supervise administrative professionals, according to Einhorn Barbarito. The role had been vacant prior to Lys’ promotion, a representative for the firm told NJBIZ.
