Christopher L. Musmanno Secures $250,000 Settlement in Highway Crash Caused by Unsafe Lane Change

According to the claims in the case, the impact caused the plaintiff’s vehicle to spin multiple times before striking a concrete barrier along the highway. She sustained a concussion and injuries to her neck and back.
“An unsafe lane change can cause a driver to lose control of a vehicle, with serious consequences,” said Musmanno. “Our client experienced a collision that sent her vehicle spinning into a concrete barrier, followed by worsening symptoms that required hospitalization.”
After the accident, the plaintiff began slurring her words and exhibiting other stroke-like symptoms. She was transported by ambulance and admitted to a hospital where stroke protocol was initiated. Her evaluation included CT scans of her head and cervical spine, as well as an EMG. She remained hospitalized for two nights of monitoring before being discharged.
The matter settled for a total of $250,000.
