$950,000 Settlement Following Boiler Explosion

Lauren D. Fraser, personal injury attorney with Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, reached a $950,000 settlement for plaintiffs who sustained injuries due to the negligent and improper installation of a part on a boiler that resulted in an explosion in the basement of the plaintiffs’ home. The force of the blast blew open doors and threw one of the homeowners out of the bed in which she was resting. Both residents suffered significant injuries including a broken elbow; injuries to the low back and both shoulders, which required surgeries; torn cartilage in the rib cage; concussions; and serious emotional damages. The case was settled for a total amount of $950,000.
