$285,000 Total Settlement For Pedestrian Struck By Motor Vehicle

Plaintiff, 67 years old at the time of the accident, while walking towards her parked vehicle in a parking lot, was struck when when a vehicle backed out of the parking space. Plaintiff was struck on her right side causing her to fall violently to the ground on her left hip and lower back. As a result of this accident, Plaintiff sustained the following injuries: left fifth and sixth anterior rib fractures close to the costochondral junction; lower back injuries; and left hip injuries. After physical therapy and injection therapy did not relieve her pain, Plaintiff consulted with orthopedic surgeon, who performed multi-level decompressive laminectomies at L3-L4 and L4-L5 with instrumentation and fusion.

On January 30, 2020, the case settled for a total amount of $285,000.
