$250,000 Settlement For Slip And Fall

Plaintiff, a 42 year old man, slipped and fell on soapy water that was being used for mopping the floor, landing on his back with his left leg twisted behind his back. As a result of this incident, Plaintiff sustained  injuries to his left foot and back. Injuries to his left foot required surgery with the implementation of hardware. His back also required a surgical procedure. Unfortunately, the surgery failed to alleviate his left foot pain and he had to undergo a second surgery to remove the hardware. Plaintiff was placed in a cast for approximately three months and then required a walking boot thereafter. Defendant argued that Plaintiff’s injuries were caused by another event, wherein Plaintiff fell inside his home.

The case settled for a total amount of $250,000 on August 27, 2019, prior to the scheduling of a trial.
