$200,000 Settlement For Premises Liability CaseResults may vary depending on your particular facts and legal circumstances.
Plaintiff, forty-seven (47) years of age at the time of this accident, was a patron at a restaurant for dinner. Upon information and belief, in order to accommodate more patrons within the establishment, table and chairs were placed on the elevated stage which would require one to step up to it. Plaintiff was seated on that stage. The lighting at the time within the bar was dim and the flooring on the stage and the bar floor were matching, giving one the perception that the stage is not elevated and is part of the bar floor. When Plaintiff finished dinner and she was walking from the table, she fell off the stage, striking a metal bar on a chair, sustaining serious injuries, including a fractured jaw and damage to her teeth. The case settled for a total amount of $ 200,000.00.
