$170,000 Settlement for Job Site Accident

Christopher L. Musmanno, personal injury attorney with Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, reached a settlement in the case of a plaintiff, a fifty-eight (58) year old male. Plaintiff was inspecting a commercial garage door as part of his job duties. He was demonstrating that the motor on the door was too low and in violation of OSHA standards. While he made this demonstration, a security guard closed the door from a remote location without first reviewing the security footage of the door. Plaintiff’s hand was caught in the door belt and gear mechanism, resulting in partial amputation of his right index finger.
