$275,000 Settlement Following Fall Caused by Broken Chair

Christopher L. Musmanno, personal injury attorney with Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, reached a settlement in the case of a Plaintiff, age 68, who was injured while standing up from a wooden chair in a national restaurant chain. When Plaintiff attempted to rise from the chair, the back and legs of the chair splintered and snapped, causing him to fall to the floor. Plaintiff sustained herniations in his spine that required surgery to heal. The case was settled for a total amount of $275,000.
