Law360 Features an Interview with Matheu D. Nunn on Being Named Co-Managing Partner of the Firm

July 28, 2025

Matheu NunnOfficially stepping into the role of Co-Managing Partner in June, co-chair of the Firm’s Family/Matrimonial Practice and its general Appellate Practice Matheu D. Nunn told Law360 that his areas of focus include Einhorn Barbarito’s move from Denville, New Jersey, to the nearby town of Parsippany, along with further growth both in terms of attorney headcount and practice group offerings. The article, “Einhorn Barbarito Names New Co-Managing Partner,” noted Mat’s comment that he had been working with incumbent co-managing partners Gary Botwinick and Pat Barbarito on leadership matters for the past two years before being formally tapped to co-lead the firm.

“It is an honor, and I look forward to contributing to the strategic trajectory of the law firm, continued growth of our practice areas and our services to clients,” Mat told Law360. “The decision was made by the partners of the firm and is consistent with the firm’s mission and a logical step as we expand to new office space in Parsippany, grow the firm, and continue to serve businesses and families throughout the region.”

As reported by Law360, Mat is a graduate of Rutgers Law School, and since joining Einhorn Barbarito in 2011, represents a wide range of clients including athletes, business owners, entertainers, executives, financial service providers, lawyers, physicians, police officers and teachers, according to his firm profile. He has worked on a variety of appellate and family law matters in areas such as adoption, child relocation, workers’ compensation, labor and employment and privacy.

He also serves on Einhorn Barbarito’s executive committee and board of directors.

Outside the firm, Mat said, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s family law executive committee, legislative committee and amicus committee and previously served as deputy mayor of New Jersey’s Morris Township.

Mat noted that the firm has made a number of hires in the family law, tax, trusts and estates, personal injury, corporate and commercial litigation groups over the years.

“Our overarching goal,” he said, “is to grow in alignment with our clients’ needs for legal services, creating opportunities for leadership growth, building practice areas with outstanding attorneys working on sophisticated matters and transactions, in a mid-sized firm environment.”
