Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost, Botwinick, Nunn & Musmanno PC Names Matheu D. Nunn Co-Managing Partner

Matheu NunnEinhorn, Barbarito, Frost, Botwinick, Nunn & Musmanno PC is pleased to announce that Matheu D. Nunn has been selected by his fellow Partners as Co-Managing Partner. He will serve alongside Co-Managing Partner Gary R. Botwinick. Nunn, 43, who joined the firm in December 2011, serves as a Board Member of the Firm and on its four-person Executive Committee. He Co-Chairs the Firm’s Family/Matrimonial Practice with Thomas J. Snyder and Co-Chairs the Firm’s General Appellate Practice with Bonnie C. Frost.

Nunn’s noteworthy victories have earned him numerous awards and recognitions, including the Essex County Bar Association’s Family Practitioner of the Year (2025) and three selections as a New Jersey Law Journal “Attorney of the Year” finalist (2017, 2018, and 2024). He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, a Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Executive Committee, Legislative Committee, and Amicus Committee, and is Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Attorney. He has been in the Best Lawyers publication since 2019 and has been recognized in the Super Lawyers publication each year since 2013.

About Matheu D. Nunn

Nunn joined the Firm in December 2011. In addition to the achievements mentioned above, Nunn has been counsel in more than 80 Appellate Division and Supreme Court matters, including precedent-setting family law decisions Cardali v. Cardali, 255 N.J. 85 (2023) (cohabitation), Bisbing v. Bisbing, 230 N.J. 309 (2017) (child relocation), Quinn v. Quinn, 225 N.J. 34 (2016) (cohabitation), In re J.E.V., 226 N.J. 90 (2016)(adoption), and Clark v. Clark, 429 N.J. Super. 61 (App. Div. 2012) (financial malfeasance), as well as criminal, civil, and administrative matters at the Supreme Court and Appellate Division.

Regularly published in the New Jersey Law Journal and the New Jersey Lawyer, Nunn also speaks at state and county bar associations several times a year. He earned his J.D. with honors from Rutgers University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Delaware, and previously clerked for the Morris County Assignment Judge, the Hon. B. Theodore Bozonelis, A.J.S.C. (ret.), and at the Appellate Division for the Hon. Jack M. Sabatino, P.J.A.D.

About Gary R. Botwinick

After joining Einhorn Barbarito in 1998 to start a Trusts & Estate practice, Botwinick was named Partner in 2001 and Co-Managing Partner in 2019. As Co-Chair of the firm’s Wills, Trusts & Estates and Taxation practices, he is regarded as a go-to estate planning lawyer for complex cases, representing closely-held businesses, high-earning executives, professionals and litigants in fiduciary litigation matters. Botwinick is specifically adept at handling estate planning issues that arise with blended families, either through divorce or before remarrying. His practice also focuses on “dynastic estate planning,” which involves creating long-term trusts that preserve wealth for multiple generations beyond just the next generation.

Botwinick is an ACTEC (American College of Trust and Estate Counsel) Fellow, and the former President of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey. He has served as a Trustee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest and as a member of the Board of the Grotta Fund for Senior Care. He has been in the Best Lawyers publication since 2016, the Super Lawyers publication each year since 2007, and in the Top 100 New Jersey Super Lawyer list since 2018.

Botwinick earned his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, and his B.S. from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Einhorn Barbarito, he was a Tax Court Litigator for the Manhattan District Counsel office of the Internal Revenue Service.

Barbarito has chaired the Family Law Section of the NJSBA and served on its Executive Committee. She has actively supported Eva’s Village as a member of the Board of Trustees and as co-Chair of the organization’s signature fundraising event. Barbarito has been in the Best Lawyers publication since 2006, the Super Lawyers publication each year since 2005, the Top 100 New Jersey Super Lawyer list in 2006, 2007, and since 2018, and the New Jersey Top 50 Women list from 2005–2009, and each year since 2011.

Barbarito earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University.
