$1,745,000 Settlement Following Tractor Trailer and Vehicle Collision on Route 80

Christopher L. Musmanno, a personal injury attorney with Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost, Botwinick, Nunn & Musmanno, PC, reached a settlement in the case of a Plaintiff, a 59-year old man, who was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the right lane of Route 80 when a tractor trailer moved from the middle lane to the right lane without making proper observations, causing his tractor trailer to strike the vehicle in which Plaintiff was a passenger. As a result of this impact, Plaintiff’s vehicle spun multiple times before striking a guardrail and sustained heavy damage. Plaintiff sustained severe injuries and required immediate surgical stabilization of cervical spine fractures and an elbow fracture. The surgical repair of the elbow fracture took significantly longer than normal due to the complexity of the fracture as there were significant amounts of comminution which required a greater degree of dissection and skill. The case settled for a total amount of $1,745,000.
