$1.15 Million Settlement in Phantom Vehicle Case

Dennis Shlionsky, Partner with Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost, Botwinick, Nunn & Musmanno’s Personal Injury Department, secured a $1.15 million settlement on behalf of a political refugee driver who was seriously injured when his vehicle was struck by a phantom driver who fled the scene.

The client was traveling when another vehicle t-boned him and fled the scene. The impact caused significant spinal and shoulder injuries, ultimately requiring a spinal fusion and arthroscopic shoulder repair.

The settlement was obtained through the at-fault driver’s uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. “This case demonstrates the importance of UM/UIM coverage in protecting innocent victims when negligent drivers flee the scene,” said Shlionsky. “Our client can now focus on his recovery and rebuilding his life.”
