Thomas Brewer, an Associate in the firm’s Family/Matrimonial and Appellate Groups, focuses his practice on resolving matrimonial disputes, including high net worth divorce, equitable distribution, spousal support, child custody, non-dissolution, and post-judgment matters.

Thomas earned his J.D. from the Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Tennessee. While attending law school, he worked as a student attorney at the Seton Hall Law Center for Social Justice, where he provided legal services to underserved communities in Essex County. He was recognized with the “Outstanding Contribution to the Family Law Clinic” award in his graduating class for his work with the Clinic. He also served as a legal intern with the State of New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, in the Office of Parental Representation, representing impoverished families and helping work toward a more equitable child welfare system.

After graduating from law school, Thomas served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nina C. Remson in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part in Bergen County, where assisted the Court on custody and child support matters.  His clerkship provided Thomas with valuable experience in the adjudication of family law matters.

A South Florida native, Thomas spends his free time golfing with his son, and cheering for the New York Yankees and Tennessee Vols. He is an avid chef and enjoys being in close proximity to the vibrant New York dining scene.
