Jacob Narva serves as Counsel in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Employment, Business/Corporate, and Appellate Practice Groups. A skilled trial attorney and former criminal prosecutor, Jacob guides businesses and their owners through complex civil, real estate, administrative, employment, and shareholder and partnership litigation. Jacob also serves his clients as outside counsel, representing them in contract negotiations and counseling them in corporate governance, risk mitigation, and employment matters.
As an employment lawyer, Jacob advises managers and HR on employment laws and company policies and procedures, as well as strategies to avoid or pursue litigation.
His experience as a criminal prosecutor and commercial and employment litigator is invaluable in conducting internal investigations to identify and respond to potential liabilities.
Jacob values the importance of communication and provides strategic legal analysis in a professional, reliable and clear manner. He is a proactive attorney who identifies risks and opportunities for his clients and appreciates that any legal strategy must align with their particular business concerns. As counsel at Einhorn Barbarito, he works across practice areas and collaborates with other lawyers in the firm when necessary to ensure his clients receive the support they need in a wide range of matters, including tax and estate planning, zoning and commercial real estate transactions, family law, and personal injury.
After earning his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, Jacob was selected for a fellowship position directly under the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. In that position, he worked on District-wide, politically significant matters such as defending a District law before a federal court of appeals and drafting Hatch Act policies. He then served for four years as an assistant attorney general for the District. Since 2017, Jacob has practiced commercial litigation in New Jersey for a broad spectrum of national corporations, local businesses, and individuals.
