Einhorn Barbarito Attorney Jhanice V. Domingo Elected President-Elect of National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA)

Jhanice V. Domingo, was elected President-Elect of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA) and installed at NFALA’s Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 5, 2015.

Domingo is presently Counsel with the firm’s Family Law Department where she manages mediation of simple divorce cases and litigation of complex, high-asset divorce matters. She navigates the legalities and sensitivities surrounding a wide variety of family law matters involving child custody, alimony, child support, equitable distribution, palimony, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, civil unions, same-sex marriage and domestic violence.

Domingo has served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee. She was named to the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars List in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015. In 2013, she was one of 50 New Jersey attorneys selected by New Jersey Law Journal to receive the New Leaders of the Bar Award. She is also one of 100 early-to-mid-career minority attorneys to be selected in the Lawyers of Color Inaugural Eastern Region 2013 Hot List.

In addition, Domingo received an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and was selected for inclusion into the 2013 edition of the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers (exclusively for female attorneys who have received the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards from their peers).

Domingo was born in Manila, Philippines. She has resided in New Jersey since moving to the United States at the age of nine. She earned degrees in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Boston College in 1999, and earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2002. She is fluent in Tagalog and active in the Asian Pacific American community. She is the Immediate Past President of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey (APALA-NJ) and the Chair of APALA-NJ’s Judicial & Prosecutorial Appointments Committee. She also serves as Vice President of the Legal Section of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Korean American Family Service Center and its Benefit Committee.
