August 21, 2019

(DENVILLE, N.J. – August 21, 2019) – Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, PC is pleased to announce that Brian D. Kenney, Counsel in the firm’s Criminal Practice Group, has been selected to the Board of Trustees for the Criminal Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) for a two-year term.

“Brian’s experience as an assistant prosecutor and a defense attorney will lend a unique perspective to the Board of Trustees of the Criminal Law Section,” said Matthew James Troiano, Chair of the firm’s Criminal Practice Group, and a former Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor. “The Criminal Law Section is important to both prosecutors and defense attorneys in New Jersey, and is actively involved in issues facing criminal practitioners, as well as providing continuing legal education in this field. Brian’s experience makes him a perfect fit.”

“I am delighted to join my fellow trustees in the Criminal Law Section,” added Kenney. “With more than 18 years of criminal law experience, I hope to provide useful insight into the criminal law issues we face as both prosecutors and defense lawyers.”

Kenney, a former Morris County Assistant Prosecutor, focuses his practice on developing strategies for clients to deal with criminal charges or investigations, handling cases from initial investigation or arrest through trial and appeal if necessary. In addition, he represents clients in Municipal Courts throughout New Jersey.

Kenney received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and his B.A., cum laude, from King’s College. He is a member of the Morris County Bar Association and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. Following graduation from law school, Kenney clerked for the Honorable B. Theodore Bozonelis, A.J.S.C. in Morristown. From 2002 to 2005 he served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office; thereafter he practiced criminal defense with Nuzzi & Mason for nearly 8 years. He then returned to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office from 2013 to 2018 as an Assistant Prosecutor.
