In June 2015, at approximately 9:30pm, Plaintiff was walking in the dark on the wooden deck which was attached to the back of her rental home when she slipped and fell in a puddle of water that accumulated on the decking surface due to the negligent repairs of the defendant. She suffered a right bimalleolar fracture and dislocation of her ankle requiring open reduction and internal fixation including a plate with three locking screws.
