Einhorn Barbarito Names Gary R. Botwinick Co-Managing Partner

Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, PC is pleased to announce that Gary R. Botwinick, Chair of the Tax, Trusts & Estates Departments, has been named Co-Managing Partner of the Firm, effective January 1, 2019. He joins Patricia M. Barbarito, Co-Managing Partner who has been with the firm for 39 years.

“Gary has been my colleague at Einhorn Barbarito for the last 21 years, partnering with me on client matters as well as operations for the firm, and it is with great excitement that I welcome him as my Co-Managing Partner,” said Barbarito. “Together we lead a staff that respects the firm’s history and recognizes the strength of our present. Gary is a role model for great lawyering, great collaboration, and great camaraderie, and it is my pleasure to lead the firm into a bright future with him.”

After joining Einhorn Barbarito in 1998 to start a Trusts & Estate practice, Botwinick was named Partner in 2001. In his practice, Botwinick provides tax counsel to businesses and individuals, on subjects including unique family challenges, business succession, premarital planning and changes in the law, including the ever-changing tax landscape. He also collaborates with the firm’s matrimonial group on issues that arise in the dissolution of a marriage.

Actively involved in the legal community, Botwinick is an ACTEC (American College of Trust and Estate Counsel) Fellow, and the former President of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey. He serves as a Trustee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest, and as a member of the Board of the Grotta Fund for Senior Care. Additionally, he was appointed by Governor Chris Christie as a member of the New Jersey Israel Commission. He has been recognized by New Jersey Super Lawyers every year since 2007, the Top 100 New Jersey Super Lawyer in 2018 and U.S. News Best Lawyers since 2016.

Botwinick earned a LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, and his B.S. from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Einhorn Barbarito, he was a Tax Court Litigator for the Manhattan District Counsel office of the Internal Revenue Service.
