$315,000 Settlement For Motor Vehicle Accident

A 60-year-old female Plaintiff was struck from the rear and, during the course of impact, her knee struck the steering wheel. Plaintiff felt and heard three or four pops in her neck and mid-back. She immediately experienced pain and numbness in these areas. The defendant, a pizza delivery driver, told the responding police officer that he “proceeded to go forward”  as he was looking for oncoming traffic on Main Street in anticipation that Plaintiff’ s vehicle had also proceeded, rear-ending Plaintiff’ s vehicle as a result. Plaintiff suffered from neck and back pain, along with persistent headaches for months following the accident. She was diagnosed with severe cervical spine herniations that required surgical intervention, in the form of a two-level anterior cervical fusion and discectomy.

The case settled on September 13, 2019 for $315,000.
