$240,000 Settlement For Motor Vehicle Accident

A fifty-three year old Plaintiff was struck by a vehicle who made an unexpected left turn in front of her vehicle. The force of the collision was so great that Plaintiff’ s vehicle was propelled across two (2) lanes of traffic, over a curb, and into a secondary traffic signal resulting in a subsequent heavy impact along with heavy damage to Plaintiff’ s vehicle and damage to the traffic signal.  Plaintiff was transported via ambulance to the hospital and released. She then treated with an orthopedist who, at the time of her consultation, recommended MRI testing to Plaintiff’s cervical spine and lumbar spine.  Her treating neurosurgeon diagnosed Plaintiff with a new disc herniation in her cervical spine and an aggravation of her pre-existing lower back condition.

Plaintiff participated diligently in physical therapy for months, but her condition was only getting worse. Her doctor recommended Plaintiff undergo decompression and fusion surgery to her lumbar spine.

Plaintiff ultimately underwent the surgery and on May 23, 2019, the case settled for $240,000 prior to trial.
