$225,000 Total Settlement for Motor Vehicle Accident

Plaintiff, age forty-nine (49) years of age at the time of this accident, was struck at an intersection by a young driver who  disregarded the stop sign controlling her direction of travel. The force of the impact was so great that both vehicles were towed from the accident scene and Plaintiff’s vehicle sustained almost $12, 000 of property damage.  Plaintiff sustained lower back injuries and she consulted orthopedic specialist. She was initially recommended to participate in physical therapy. She returned to her orthopedist with no improvement to her low back condition. She was then referred to an orthopedic surgeon. After injection therapy did not help Plaintiff’s pain, she underwent urgent L5-S1 decompression and fusion procedure with instrumentation.

On January 21, 2020, the case settled for a total amount of $225,000.
