$100,000 Settlement In Motor Vehicle Accident

Plaintiff, presently seventy-four (74) years of age was stopped, yielding to oncoming traffic and waiting to make a left turn into a driveway.   Defendant was driving straight and did not see that Plaintiff was stopped, causing her to strike Plaintiff’s vehicle in the rear at a high rate of speed.   As a result of this accident, Plaintiff sustained injuries to her low back, causing numbness down her buttocks and legs.  She began physical therapy 2 to 3 times per week, but did not experience any improvement. An MRI study of her lower back revealed a herniated disc, exerting pressure on the thecal sac and an EMG/NCV study revealed evidence of revealed left L4 radiculopathy. Due to the severity of Plaintiff’s injuries and failure to respond to conservative treatments, Plaintiff underwent a two level lower back fusion  surgery. The case settled for the policy limits of $100,000.00.
